As a product and interior designer, I am surrounded by visual arts daily. My original contemporary art is a natural extension of my creative process. I am attracted to the repeat of pattern or shape, which is prevalent in my pieces. Each repeat stroke is truly singular but powerful in multiple numbers. The pieces have a human and organic mood with a primitive edge. The removal of paint is important in many of the compositions and I am intrigued that removing material is sometimes stronger than adding more to the canvas.
